So you finally got your new Starmobile Astra / Crystal, but can you
download any app you want? What about custom themes? Do you ever feel
like altering or replacing system applications and settings on your new phone?
Luckily, Rolen Perez of Starmobile Crystal Facebook group found a way
on how to root your phone. Here's how to root your Starmobile Astra /
Crystal after the jump.
How to root your Starmobile Astra / Crystal

Step 2: Install PdaNet on your computer (it will automatically install the drivers for your phone) and when asked on which phone are you using, choose “Other brands”
Note: Don’t connect your phone on your computer yet!
Step 3: Before connecting your phone to your computer please do these things:
Step 5: Find the PdaNet icon in your phone menu and tap it.
Step 6: Then choose USB Tether
Step 7: Check your PdaNet at your computer if it's connected to internet.
Step 8: Go to your PdaNet on your phone, Then turn off the PdaNet.
Step 9: Create a folder on your computer and unzip the zip file Root with Restore from Bin4ry.
Step 10: Double check your notifications on your phone for USB Connected, USB Debugging and USB Storage .
Step 11: Go to your created folder with the extracted Root with Restore.
Step 12: Then RUN/START the Runme.bat file
Step 13: The command prompt will appear and it will start the rooting process script, Press "1" and hit ENTER. (Device Type - NORMAL).
Step 14: Wait a while, then look at your phone and it should ask you to "Full Restore", tap the "Restore my data" and it will REBOOT.
Step 15: Then wait for your phone to turn on.
Step 16: After booting you will see a message "Android is Upgrading"
Step 17: Check on your phone menu if "SuperSU" icon is there.

Step 1: Download PdaNet (v4.01 - 4.6MB) and Root with Restore by Bin4ry ( v15.7z - 1.94MB).Step 2: Install PdaNet on your computer (it will automatically install the drivers for your phone) and when asked on which phone are you using, choose “Other brands”

- Go to Settings > Developer Options > Check USB Debugging
- Go to Settings > Security > Check Install From Unknown Sources.
Step 5: Find the PdaNet icon in your phone menu and tap it.

Step 8: Go to your PdaNet on your phone, Then turn off the PdaNet.
