- Short story: I just used SuperOneClick as how we did it on the Alcatel 918N.
you know your droid is rooted when the SuperUser app is installed.
- SuperOneClick – the main app used for rooting, very straightforward GUI. {LINK}
- PDAnet.exe – we need this to easily get the Android drivers installed on your PC. {LINK}
- Before we proceed, be sure to enable USB debugging on your DTC GT3 Astroid. If you aren’t that familiar well with your android smartphone, you can do it by putting a check from this settings page: Settings > Applications > Development.
- Connect your device on your PC, it will try to install some drivers but the installation for ADB drivers will fail. So from here, we need now to install the PDAnet.exe
- Install PDAnet.exe like a normal windows app installation process. When prompted for a device selection, choose Others.
- After that, open SuperOneClick. Your device will be detected and hit that ROOT button.
- Wait for the process to complete, and viola! Enjoy your rooted DTC GT3 Astroid phone!
Rooted DTC GT3 Astroid
- You can now use VPN for your Android device.
- Ability to use app2SD wherein, the installed apps will automatically go to your SD card. This is pretty useful, due to the fact that the some phones doesn’t have very large amount of built-in storage memory capacity.
- You can now make or capture screenshots from your phone.
- Ability to use ChainFire 3D for better gaming experiences.
- You can now have a faster phone through v6 SuperCharger.
- Ability to maximize the potential of your Android Smartphone through other various hacks and use it to your advantage. Become a power-user!
