Samsung Galaxy 5 has been blessed
with a custom recovery called ClockworkMod to let users flash custom
ROMs and Mods on their devices. Once you’ve flashed the recovery on your
device, you should be able to make nandroid backups, install ROMs, wipe
data and even factory reset your device. Since all these things happen
in recovery mode, you don’t need to have a working device, even a
bricked device can be booted into recovery mode. So, let’s see how you
can flash a custom recovery on your Samsung Galaxy 5.
I. Before You Begin:
1. You must have rooted your device before doing this procedure. Our How to Root the Samsung Galaxy 5 procedure should help you do that.
2. This will replace your current recovery with the CWM Recovery.
II. Downloading Required Files:
1. ROM Manager — QR Code (Google Play Link)
III. Flashing a Custom Recovery on the Samsung Galaxy 5:
